Studio Fifteen is an independent colour grading and finishing studio based in Haggerston, East London, founded by colourists Emma Charles and Emmanuel Benjamin. Their different backgrounds and perspectives are united by a shared understanding of photographic craft and a curiosity about the possibilities of colour.

With a background in contemporary art, analogue film and photography, Emma Charles brings a multidisciplinary perspective to colour grading. Her experience working directly with film and photographic materials informs an approach to colour that seeks a sense of materiality in the finished image. Her work spans narrative cinema and artists’ moving image, alongside commercials and music videos. Her credits include Red Egg and Ginger, which premiered at Tribeca Festival and went on to screen at BFI London Film Festival and the American Film Institute's AFI FEST in Los Angeles.

Emmanuel Benjamin is as interested in how an image is constructed as in how it looks. He actively explores the science and technology behind colour, driven by the creative possibilities they offer. His work spans feature films, short films and commercials, including Mad Bills to Pay, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival, where it received the NEXT Special Jury Award for Ensemble Cast, before going on to screen at Berlinale and BFI London Film Festival.

Alongside our colour grading, online finishing and DI services, we work with trusted collaborators across offline editing and VFX, and sound post-production specialists Rumble, based alongside us at Playhouse East. Together, we offer a complete post-production ecosystem, supporting filmmakers from edit through to final delivery.
